------- Additional comments from [email protected] Fri Jan 21 16:50:19 +0000 2011 ------- Using Windows XP, OOo 3.2.1 and with the build 9502, I was able to reproduce this bug. The bug can be reproduced by just having one line of text and does not need two to show the problem: 1. Create new Writer document. 2. Type in some text. 3. Select all text with mouse or press Ctrl-A. 4. Go to Table->Convert->Text to Table. 5. Apply Convert Text to Table tab with default values and Borders check box marked. 6. Select the single row with a mouse. 7. Repeat steps 4 and 5 in order to have double Text to Table convert. 8. Select the first row with a mouse from the left edge of the row (the cursor is shown like an arrow pointing left). The attempted selection of the first row will automatically put the cursor under the table, being unable to select the row from the left edge of the row. The issue is not only with the first row, but with all the rows of a double Text to Table convert table. If it were 1 row, 3 rows, 100 rows, etc., trying to select any one of the rows will always select and put the cursor one row below the desired selection (or out of the table if trying to select last row of table), therefore the problem lies with double Text to Table conversion. It is also impossible to select the whole table from the top left corner (the cursor is shown like an arrow pointing Southeast). This applies to all tables that are of a double Text to Table convert, no matter how many rows. Of course, with a single Text to Table convert, the selection from the left edge of the row selects the appropriate row. Embedding tables inside one of the cells does not produce a problem and all rows can be selected. Another example I've encountered allows the correct selection of the row if there are 2 or more columns with the left-most cell being converted using Text to Table conversion. The only problem is the whole row cannot be selected, only the cursor is in the right place. I have attached a file of examples that I've tried and encountered the problem and where I hadn't. The problem does not seem to be too severe and it is easy to get around, just by dragging the mouse over the row to select it. But of course, the Word Processor should do what it says it will do (when leaving mouse over the left edge of a row, a pop up box displays “Select table row”) and this bug should be considered fixing. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
