------- Additional comments from [email protected] Fri Feb 4 05:07:41 +0000 2011 ------- When saving and then closing a large document in OOWriter, the program fails to save the cursor location that was saved. Rather it reopens at the very beginning of the document. Failure to save the location of the cursor means having to search through a very long document (multiple hundreds of pages) in order to resume editing. It is possible to work around this problem by inserting an unusual string of characters (such as xxxxxxxxxxxx) and then saving the document. By using the search function to find the inserted string editing can resume. It would be much simpler if OOWriter saved the cursor location. Earlier versions of Open Office Writer did remember the location of the cursor when saving a document. Somewhere in Version 2 this feature was lost and it makes editing large documents very difficult. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
