When .avi files have been inserted into an Impress presentation, and then a
slideshow is initiated, there are conditions upon which a given movie may not
play during the slideshow. Here is what I've determined so far:

- when slideshow is started exactly on a page with one or more .avi movies, they
all seem to consistently play on that page
- when moving between slides in a slide show, the .avi's sometimes play and
sometimes don't. And whether or not the movie plays appears to be able to vary
with each edit of the presentation.
- when the .avi does not play, the symptoms are that first a frame or two plays,
then the frame turns black

I have not attached an example because all the avi's I have now are my company's
property, but I would expect that it would happen on others.
