2005 -------
When I
1) select "Insert-fields-other"
2) select the DOCUMENTS Tab
3) Choose DATE from the TYPE column
4) Choose DATE from the SELECT column
5) Choose December 31, 1999 from the FORMAT column
6) Click on "insert"
7) Click "Close"
I get the current date appearing at the insertion point. This is as desired.
However, if I close the document and then re-open the date is unrecognizable.
AFTER INSERT
May 19, 2005
AFTER SAVE/REOPEN
May t, jjjj
As soon as I figure out how to, I shall attach the saved document.
