The effect is straightforward:
The menu tries to appear below the text-area that it refers to (=below the
word).
When there is no room for the dialog below the text, it is "wrapped" to the top.
Just compare the spellcheck-context-menu with the standard-context menu:
* the spellcheck menu selects the word and appears below the text and aligned so
it starts left at the beginning of the word, no matter where the user had the
mousepointer
* the regular menu appears right where the cursor was.
Increase the Zoom-factor and scroll down (so that the Menu can fit below the
text) and you'll get the dialog below the selection - scroll up/decrease zoom so
that the dialog won't fit -> the menu appears at the top
