------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun May 22 21:03:01 -0700 2005 ------- Hello, It seems absolutely ridiculous that in version 1.9.100 you have the great view options of handouts etc. and can change the colour options to black and white etc., but at the end of it all when you click print it prints colour slides. Ideally I think that we would have a print dialogue similar to pp that defaulted to what was the current view/colour option. This almost seems strange enough to me as to be a bug instead of an enhancement... hence the slightly higher priority. It isn't at all what the user expects. As suggested by another issue-filer: "Since printing handouts is perhaps the most popular, I would suggest following the UI strategy M$ PowerPoint has invoked... display that option directly on the "Print" screen instead of behind another button. All of this is definitely a lot of clicking/work compared to M$ PPT. i.e. Print. Print what? -> Handouts. Per page? -> 6." Again, in the words of another: "Well, of course you have to change format 'View' -> 'Master' -> 'Handouts', and then select 'Format' -> 'Modify Layout' -> select 6 slides per page. First, this is a little excessive in hunting down how to view 6 slides per page, though perhaps very logical (for some people). Though I know this, and handle this without problem... the "Printing" still gets me almost every time! I have been late for numerous classes and gone without slides simply because my printer is printing all the 'slides' instead of 'handouts' in the other room. So seeing this UI issue changed would be greatly appreciated!" As I have been using OOo since the 1.0 betas, I am embarrassed to say that I had forgotten the (strange) way that handouts are printed and have been printing off the handouts for my lectures at university (Powerpoint) under the impression that the beta had regressed in this regard and that it was a bug. Maybe I am a little strange, but if I missed it I would think that others would too.
