Sorry, I do not think it would make more sense. Then you would have to use first
to decide if the line is vertical or not and then make the decision. What would
happen with a line rotated for 180 degrees. You would rotate it and then the
arrow would still be on the same side? I do not think that this would make sense
even if it seems to make sense on the first view.
