I try to use routinely OpenOffice a have often to open and save documents in
.doc format. Unfortunatelly, there seem to be several serious problems with the
bitmaps that were inserted from a file into the document. These appear mostly if
the figure consists of a bitmap and a caption within the same frame.

I include an attachment to demonstrate this. If you load this file, everything
should be ok. After exporting into OfficeXP .doc, and opening again, the width
of the bitmap will become nearly zero and only a vertical line on the left is
visible. This is reproducible. I observed also situations when both width and
height were shrinked to zero. Openoffice 1.1.4 behaves same way as 1.9.104
