Hi mdebene,
sorry to read that. Shurly it looks like a very bad bug. I agree to your
computer experts: I have never heard about such a mess. For years of reviewing
the office installation I've never seen such thing nor I have read about such a
desaster in the mailing lists or here in isuue tracker. That's what makes me
think that OOo isn't the cause of this problem. There are lot's of OOo users on
XP and noone reported such a bug. We won't have releases such a kind of virus
that well mess up all your file assiciation. I don't have a real clue how to
reorganize your system. Is it possible to to reassign the file types by the
folder options of the explorer? Subscribing to [email protected] and asking
the community for support might provide some help. I'll change the resolution
to
'worksforme' because it has never been reproducible for us. That's hardly
required to see if there is something to fix.
