------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed May 25 01:49:35 -0700 2005 ------- 1. Use an OOo database or a MySql database - the outcome is the same. 2. From a datasource window right click on the Db and select "edit database file" 3. In the "edit database" window select the "tables" icon then select one of the tables in the "tables" pane. Finally select the "create View". 4. Select a table from the "add tables" dialog, and click "add". 5. In the bottom pane of the design view, select a field, choose "sort ascending", and make sure that "Visible" is ticked. 6. Attempt to save the view (File->Save->OK). 7. An "error while connecting to data source" dialog suggests that there is an sql error. 8. Select "View->Preview" and the sql executes as expected leading me to believe that the error is in OOo NB If the above is done as a "query view", everything works fine. However when more than one table is used with relationships, the resulting view is read only. I was hoping that "table views" allowed data entry in such circumstances, but am unable to check this out. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
