It is not a problem of the Links. The document contains many MS Equation objects
(Formulas) which cause the problem here.
MRU->MAV: this sounds like an OLE error message. Open the mentioned document (I
will forward this via Mail; it is cofidential, please delete after the fix was
done) and save it as .odt. This wil give you several "Too many windows open"
messages in the end of saving. Additionally the objects will not be accessible
anymore (General Input Output Error when trying to activate; but will be o.k.
when reloading the file).
