Everytime an action is taken on the peer of a control this should be explicitly
retrieved again otherwise the latter might be disposed like it is done when the
control border is set. Unluckily VCL does not throw an exception when the peer
is already disposed. As the calculation of the control width is based on
information of the peer it has to be retrieved therefor too.
