US->HDU: I think we should close this "mutant" bug.
What happens here is that hebrew XFonts as e.g. Nachlieli don't get painted
correct (aka glyph soup) which seems to be associated with XRender support
(workaround: disable RENDER extension).
Consequently this glyph soup isn't exported to PDF also.
Will provide a follow-up for the 'glyph soup' thing.
