I am now using OOo 2.0 beta (snapshot of 1.9.79 from main English project). When launched from Japanese environment (via windowmaker hotkey) it shows English menus and English help. So I have not confirmed the ability to read help in other languages, mainly since I use this for work and the Japanese project is slower. I no longer have a problem though I do not understand why there would be two different projects; obviously (to me anyway) I would imagine the Japanese enhancements ought to be made available with a checkbox in the options dialog, and if you use more than two languages you should not have to install different projects. Well, sorry if I misunderstand the current state of development or design philosophy.
