Someone really needs to look at this instead of just shrugging it off saying
it's better than it was. I converted this file to xls and it grew to 27MB. It
loaded on an old Pentium 2-450 w/384MB, memory, Win98 with Excel in under 30
seconds and I can't tell exactly how much memory excel is using but System
Monitor shows about 125MB allocated memory with the swapfile in use at 61MB.
The system remained quite snappy. In ods format on my AMD Barton 2800+ with 1G
memory my system is brought to it's knees. Nothing works for the entire time
this file is loading and then the system is very sluggish afterwards.
