I have investigated this a bit more and determined that the error only occurs
when running the code in a debug environment, specifically Visual Studio.NET
2003. I have not tested in other IDEs.
When running the code in a normal manner (i.e. running the compiled executable
from the command line) no error occurs.
When running the code in a debugger, the exeception is thrown.
This still occurs in build 104.
