------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jun 5 21:04:54 -0700 2005 ------- I am using a LG laptop which has a Synaptics mouse pad emulator which has a couple of neat features. Clicking and dragging at the right moves the focused scrollbar appropriately, hence serving as a scrollwheel replacement. This works in almost all applications I use except OOo. I'm using 1.9.104. I do not know the internals of how the Synaptics mouse activity emulator works, however I am certain it does not link to low-level UI elements furnished in the standard XP control set as I've seen the scrollbar emulator work properly with Flash textfields and v2 components that are drawn by the Flash player itself. In the latter case I know for a fact that the Flash player uses some kind of an accessibility hook and the v2 components include calls to set accessibility with certain keys for common control elements to be handled by the likes of Windows Eyes, etc. In any case, perhaps the issue could be solved by properly registering these UI components to use with common accessibility packages. It's not a killer, but on my laptop, it's as annoying as not being able to use a scrollwheel (annoying indeed) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
