I don't think that this issue is invalid.

Well, that doesn't describe the issue I reported. At my linux system, the first
opening (following the steps described below), the font is displayed correctly
and exported correctly to pdf (see bug1.pdf -> it works fine, the font is
embedded with the RIGHT encoding).
When opening the second time (following the steps described below), it doesn't
display correct and doesn't export.
I've made the experience that this has something to do with the void document
appearing at start of writer (unbenannt1 in german). When I open an existing
document, it is opened in a second window and "unbenannt1" stays (by the way:
is this a bug or a feature?). When I leave the void document "unbenannt1"
opened, I don't have problems. (So when you can't reproduce the case of the
working document, maybe it helps when you DON'T close "unbenannt1" before
opening). This seams to be often the case. Even when I've opened a document
correctly (leaving unbenannt1 opened) and worked with it: in the moment I close
unbenannt1, the font display of my working document changes.
Aktually (because I have to work with this font for certan reasons), a quite
good workaround is for me to never close unbenannt1 -> then it works almost
always.

I don't think that this is a problem of the font for these reasons:
1. In OOo 1.1.x it works always without any problems
2. It works also in OOo 1.9 / linux, when unbenannt1 stays open! (see bug1.pdf,
the font is correctly embedded and displayed in the pdf, and also on screen OOo
1.9 displayes it correctly).
3. It works always in OOo 1.9 / windows (see winbug1.pdf, winbug2.pdf - same
document, same font, no problems, correctly embedded), at least I've tested it
on windows 2000.
4. The important question for working or not working is if I work under windows
or under linux, and when working under linux if I leave open unbenannt1.
There are many cases this font is working without any problems in OOo, and
there is only one special case it doesn't work -> I don't beleave that THIS can
be a problem of the font.
This problem doesn't exist for all fonts. I can reproduce the problem with the
attached font and one other font - most fonts aren't affected. This other
font "KnewFont" is also replaced on screen by another font (but with correct
encoding) and also not exported to pdf. So it doesn't seem to be a problem of
the ENCODING, but of the REPLACEMENT.
For this, I think this issue should be reopened.
