Suppose I want to copy something from one slide to another.

What I would expect:
* select
* copy (or ^C)
* navigate to destination slide
* paste (or ^V)
But instead of paste I must use paste-special-impress8 to get the item into the
destination slide. This is rather counter-intuative. And there is no keyboard
shortcut.

I would like to suggest that paste, ^V, insert the clipboard into the current
slide as a matter of default. See also Issue 46810
