wg, I now see what you mean. Although this can be tweaked on to make work, this
really shouldn't be considered optimal.
By default, when inserting this drawing as an sxd file it takes the entire width
of the page, beyond the margins. I then converted the drawing to an odg file,
which now takes up ALL the page when inserted, vertical and horizontal.
Starting with a single empty page, inserting a 3 inch high drawing will result
in now having 3 pages with the drawing on page 2.
OOo should at least be making some attempt at a reasonable guess as to how to
fit it on the page. I doesn't need to be perfect, but somewhere in the ballpark
should be what is happening here. At the very least it should fit within the
margins of the destination document.
Lastly, I have to address a usability issue. Now that you've explained to me
that the window when in edit mode can be re-sized I get it. I would have NEVER
gotten it without your explaining this. Maybe I'm just not too bright, but
those 1x1 pixel handles didn't exactly shout, "Hey, I can resize this thing!".
Plus there's the additional ruler I can't figure out how to turn off adding
visual noise to the picture.
With that being said, I would like to reopen this bug. Perhaps it shouldn't be
classified as a defect, but it should be fixed.
