I've confirmed that the officebean.dll is in my java.library.path:
System.loadlibrary("officebean") is successful. ( know it's working because I
first tried this call with "officebean.dll" as the filename, which failed ...)
However, even having successfully loaded the library in my code, the
openoffice method 'new LocalOfficeConnection()' still throws the
UnsatisfiedLinkError.
