It works fine and it is of type ".ott" -- Open Document Template, from OOo 1.9.104 [v2 BETA]. It would be nice if this (or something similar) would be included in the final OOo v2 release, but it is probably too late for that. Barring such a "virgin birth" type of miracle on that, you can save this to your hard drive, then Import it into your templates.
