That's a feature of the input method on FC3 (iiimf); you can press hexadecimal
codes with ctrl-shift and commit (with enter) the corresponding unicode.
There's nothing we can do in that can do about that currently as we currently
cannot check whether a key is a shortcut without dispatching it, therefore the
input method must get all keyevents first. As a workaround i recommend
configuring another shortcut for subscript.
This is duplicate to issue 50547 as the cause behind the two issues is the same.
