------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jun 15 00:10:31 -0700 2005 ------- Well if you have MathType explicitly installed that explains a large part of the problem. MS Office usually uses MathyType in the version 3.0 or 3.1 that is probably the reason why the OLE Type is named Microsoft Equation 3.0. And because of that Math in OOo does support only MathType 3.1 which would be sufficient for those case. But if you have MathType installed on it's own you probably have a version like 5.0 or even higher, and that one is simply not recognized by Math if you used that to create your formulas. There are two points to look at: a) If you choose in the options to not convert formulas upon importing them in OOo and you running Windows than the OLE server should just use your installed MathType. If you're not running Windows the result should be similar to b) since Unix does not have OLE server. b) If the option is set to convert the formulas, you should still get a visible result but double clicking and editing te formulas should be impossible. Usually an error message like "General OLE" error or sth like that should occur. Of course the office should definetly not freeze. I still need to look in this though... The above is just based on the latest comment. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
