I experienced the same. In 680m79 (beta build) I could get OO crashing hen
inserting the attached graphic exactly 29 times. But with newer build 680m106 I
was able to insert it 40 times without any problem.
In deed, there have been some fixes around organizing frames / graphics /
objects in Writer documents and this problem was surely fixed as side effect of
these fixes.
