The Formula Bar in Writer has been designed to be automatically when the user
wants to insert a calculation formula into Writer
a) hitting F2 in text to insert as a field
b) hitting = in table to enter a table formula
Therefor, you weren't able to edit in the document anymore.
Since the formula bar can be activated via "View" menu (which suggests that the
formula bar could be sersistent), the behaviour should be changed IMO, so that
you can access its functionality (and of course all document fuctionality) where
ever the user wants to.
