This is a misunderstood feature (or a misunderstandable feature :-)).
Versions are not copied when you do a "SaveAs". It doesn't matter to which
format you save, sxw or odt, this works as designed.
This is a very old feature and I don't remember why this was designed this way.
I'm open for a reconsideration, but this would be an RFE, not a defect.
Wether we should change this behaviour is up to our User Experience team, so I
will reclassify this issue as an RFE and assign it to our "requirements".
