Hi Frank,

Fine, thanks. With my words: Any string, that is formatted like a known date
format (standard & user defined) will be converted to a number representing a
date. The cell shows the date in the current (user selected) date format. The
cell content can be used for date calculations.
A string represents a date, if it looks like a date.

Look at the following table:
cp spec cp spec Copied =5+D2 isDate(D2)
Standard isoDate From

Only 2 of WINNER of Calc ok unknown in
3 hits beauty Function
                                            Wizard

'Paste Special' __AND__ a IsoDate preformatted field shows the date correct,
but the edit window (toolbar) shows a wrong item (numbers exchanged, wrong
delimiter, hard to edit (does not follow the rules of a GUI/Wysiwyg)).

-Cant find anything about the above solution in help 'pasting clipboard'. What
to do?
-Repair the edit window?

BTW: Missing 'isDate()' in 'Function wizard' and in help, but the function is
listed in books (e.g. Andrew Pitonyak)?
