------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jun 22 05:14:37 -0700 2005 ------- Please consider fixing this bug in the future at least. I can't see why "it can't be avoided" to use the same shortcut in one window - I mean just use other letters. In the newest beta 2.0 it's actually changed so that the same shortcut (alt+S) is used as many as four times now. Is it really hard or impossible to change the shortcuts to use another unique letter from those words? Please let me know if you need me to come up with some other shortcut-letter suggestions for the three other alt+S shortcuts. Keyboard users cannot make a safe and easy habit using shortcuts that works differently each time they use it. It takes time and focus to check which mode the search is in to make sure you're using the shortcut correctly - it'd be easier if the user could simply learn the right shortcut once and for all and never had to check a setting before using it taking focus from his actual work. I base this upon not only personal experience but thorough user tests done by user interface evangelist Jef Raskin (writer of The Humane Interface - a very important read! - it's avaiable online here: http://safari.informit.com/?XmlId=0-201-37937-6 ).
