SBA: I adjusted the summary to better reflect the findings.
I think that "punctuation points somehow creeping into words" are a rare case
compared to cases like
(1) "Forgotten spaces" : He is good.She is good,but believe:I ain't.
(2) URLs : www.what-the-hell.is.the.everlasting.superdomain.net
In these very common cases, word traveling should better stop at punctuation
marks "within words". There are far more "runnaway spaces" than "creeping-in
punctuations" in an average users life. Therefore I see no point in changing the
current behavior.
