This is invalid. The characters are not square characters but represent other
characters:
U+0671 ARABIC LETTER ALEF WASLA
U+06A4 ARABIC LETTER VEH
-> both are arabic letters, OOo correctly assigns right-to-left text direction
to these characters. (-> that explains the cursor movement)
To delete it at start of line, just press <Pos1/Home> and then <Del>
You probably want to use
U+25A1 WHITE SQUARE
