Hi,
sorry to say it, but this is not a bug.
mon1 pasted into a default formatted cell will result in the first of the month
of the year currently active on your computer as the evaluation goes:
mon is a abbreviation for Monday, so the following numbers would define a
date.
a single number is interpreted as the first day of the actual month and year.
If you want the text, just format the cells it should be pasted too as text and
you get it as text.
