I don't get this problem in OOom113 downloaded from openoffice.org (using
FC4)...

What kind of files did you try to insert? I didn't get a problem inserting a
*.ods, a *.odt, a *.jpg, a *.gif, a *.doc and a *.xls into a *.odt...
