------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Jul 5 14:49:59 -0700 2005 ------- I use OpenOffice 1.1.3 on Linux (Fedora core 3). My computer has only one single printer installed. It's a network printer physically on a different computer in LAN, also Linux based. The printer is shared as a "samba printer" from the other computer. When the computer with the printer was turned off (=default printer not available on network) OpenOffice behaved strangely. Opening a document took a LONG time (30 seconds?). The I was able to use the document for a while until Open Office crashed (window just disappeared from desktop) spontaneously. I then removed the single printer from my configuration. Now Openoffice opens documents quickly, and also runs stable. My observations seem to support the theory that OOo 1.1.3 on Linux (too) does run into difficulties when the default printer is unavailable on the netework. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
