HDU->CJ: since at least SO5 and probably even earlier the shadow color was
either COL_LIGHTGRAY or COL_BLACK, depending on the luminance of the original
text. The change request to always use COL_LIGHTGRAY has its merits though, and
the rationale behind the original design is no longer obvious this should be
decided finally. See issue 759 for some insights of the original designer.
