Please attach some of this sample files to this issue, so that we can reproduce
the problem here. Otherwise we cannot fix anything on this. Generally opening
multiple files works fine here (tested on different Laptop and Desktop systems).
Thew problem relates to certain files, not all. Feel free to reopen issue when
you have done so.

BTW: which version off OO did you use? Is it one of the newer builds like
680m109?
