OOo is much better in losts of thigs (for example, schema menubar at Writer). So we don't need to be exactly as MS was, we must be better. And I don't see the compatibility problem, if we think Excel doesn't use addressing in a propper way, we just can be carefull when converting an xls to an ods. 2.- I'm with regina, I've tried to remove sheet referece from conditional formatting in the example I sent, and re-duplicated the sheet. The new sheet (Sheet1_3) works as I expected. So the solution has two chapters; the first one is removing sheet reference from conditional formatting when not needed (the condition is inside the sheet), and the second one, paying attention to xls-ods and viceversa conversions. Hope this opinion I started will help to improve, and not to discuss.
