Are you sure that there has not been another, menus-package installed?
openofficeorg-1.-writer.desktop

Such a file is not included in the rpm and the suse-package doesn't run any
fancy %preun or %postun stuff...
So the questions are: "Why does it try to access a file that is not installed by
the package?" and "Why does it try to /parse/ it?"
