What is important is that it get looked at. I consider it a defect because it exibits inconsistent behavior -- any time a URL is inputted it should consistently be parsed as a URL (or consistently not parsed if this feature is turned off). Or maybe when it is typed is the only time it should be parsed, and when pasted, never parsed? In any case, the behavior should be *consistent*.
