thanks for using and supporting OpenOffice.org...
I created a file called 'Bottin téléphonique.doc' on Solaris (using m121) and on
FC4-Linux (using m118). Then I tried to open the file and didn't get your
problem...
Which version of OOo1.9 did you try?
Maybe this is a locale-related problem?
Which distri do you use?
Which WM/DE do you use?
