I totally forgot about this issue I'll download 1.9.118 in a while and test it
out. But as of 1.9.117 the problem still exists. However I just noticed the
first time I Open a document it does not do the behavior its only after the
document becomes the first on the list. Its not a big enough bug to really worry
about but try these steps.
1. Open up Open Office Impress
this should open the "Presentation Wizard" if not your using it differently.
2. Select "Open existing presentation" if you do this for the first time the
list of items should be blank. Select the file that I uploaded. If this was the
first time you loaded my file the problem does not exist but a second time of
following steps 1 and 2 should produce the error at least it did in 1.9.117
I'll try 1.9.118 within the week. The first time I reported the error was on
Slackware 10 I am currently running Fedora 4 upgraded to current.

The file I uploaded is what MS Powerpoint produced so I assume that Powerpoint
named the extention .pps but like I said if I name it with the .ppt extention
the error does not exist. I'm guessing Impress wrongly assumes that a .pps
extention is a template. It could however be incorrect ussage of powerpoint. I
did not create the slideshow and I don't know what the difference is between
.ppt extention and .pps extention. Is .pps suppose to be a template? could be
the error message I get is correct and the file is named incorrectly. But I
don't know. Could be that .pps is not always a template and that the error
message is wrong.
