------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jul 31 16:31:46 -0700 2005 ------- Hi, thanks for your answer. > calc and excel select an entire list automatically if a cell on or next to > the list is selected Ah I didn't understand this behaviour so it seemed completely random to me. I used a complex sheet in Calc so the ranges it chose didn't make sense to me. The sheets I tried in excel selected the entire sheet but I guess it was because the were one big "list" as you call it. So in other words if the user don't mark a range Calc (and Excel) selects what the programmer believes is what the users wants to sort based on the content and cursor position. I wasn't aware. We could close the issue changing it to Resolved - or we could change it an Enhancement - the enhancement being to make it possible to Select All - or another range AFTER the sort pop-up appears should the automatically selected range _not_ be what the user had in mind. This would save work time. Cheers -- David --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
