------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Aug 1 12:17:10 -0700 2005 ------- I try to use a qualified certificate to sign a Writer document on Windows platform. Although my qualified certificate is shown on the signing form I can't add a signature using it. My qualified certificate has its key usage defined as digital signature and non-repudiation, it has no e-mail addresses and no enhanced key usage. (I can use this certificate for signing documents in MS Word 2003) However I can successfully sign a document using an ordinary certificate which has enhanced key usage extensions (e-mail protection, client authentication). This ordinary certificate also has a subject alternative name extension (Rfc822 [EMAIL PROTECTED]). Is there a certificate profile requirement in the signing functionality? Should a certificate carry some specific X.509 extensions? If it is not specified so then this is a bug. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
