You are mixing two types of lines here:
first you are talking about the connectors. A standard selection of the most
used endings is represented in the flyout menu.
Normal lines do not have the ability to snap to gluepoints.
Anyway: you can design your own endpoints for lines:
draw a polygon or a curve and select it, open the line dialog, go to the arrow
styles tab page, choose add, insert a name and there you have your own line
ending. Using the styles of the stylist you can design your own linestyle and
ending for certain lines.
