Reporduce: Open File->New->Templates and Documents If you opened it from Writer select a Writer template. If you opened it from Calc select a Calc template. etc. Click on Edit button. It put you back to the main UI without opening of selected template. If you click on another type of template (for example: Calc, Impress, Draw from Writer) it will open it (via clicking on Edit button).
