As a network tech I would like the ability to control the default features of the application for all users. If I was using MSO then I would use group policies and thus via the registry. Since OO doesn't support the registry, to my knowledge correct me if i'm wrong, I have no way of setting what values I want on my network. The all users folder was a way that I could think of that would be able to handle it. Another way I guess is allow a user to change the path that the program looks for settings.
