The issue can't be fixed. The problem is that PPT 97 does only support one
master page + one title master page. You will have the same problems if you
create a presentation in PPT 2000 using more than one master page.
Due to the fact that OpenOffice does not differentiate between normal master
pages and title master, the export is creating only title master, this is no
problem for PPT 2000 and above. To fix this issue OpenOffice first need to
support titel master pages. This issue can't be fixed until this feature is not
implemented.
There is a patch existing on http://www.support.microsoft.com that might solve
this problem (but I was not able to patch my PowerPoint 97 properly), there you
should search for "PowerPoint 97 Converter: Multiple Master Presentations"
maybe, this fixes this problem
sj->wg: Please close this issue and change the resolution to "can't fix".If you
still think that we should provide a solution for PPT 97 users, then please
discuss this with cl and convince him to add title master support in OpenOffice.
