Well, I think the string is not the only problem.
For fixing this I recommend to do the following:
1. The check if the data source is available should be performed directly after
loading the document.
2. If the registered datasource can't be found a warning should appear, saying:

| Thus the connection to the data source could |
| not be established. |

| To check the location of data source click 'Check...' |
| To open the document without connecting to the |
| datasource click "Continue" |
| |
| Check... Continue |

A click on "Check..." [Default] opens Tools/Options/OpenOffice.org
Base/Database/ with the 'broken' connection preselected.
A click on "Continue" opens the document without connectiong to the database.
