------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Aug 24 01:56:39 -0700 2005 ------- Lotus 1-2-3, while ghastly, has one tremendously useful formula fuction that both Excel and OOo are lacking: In addition to the normal averaging functions (AVERAGE, DAVERAGE), Lotus 123 provides one called PUREAVG. It is an average of all *non-blank* cells in the range. This means that a zero is a zero, a 'banana' is a zero, a one is a one, but an empty cell does not increase the cell count and does not affect the average. This is very useful eg. in bugdets and statistics for creating accurate YTD figures when there are a significant number of cells in the range that have no meaningful value (yet). I hope you will consider adding this function to OOo Calc. I'm not sure I filed this under the right subcomponent. Please change if necessary. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
