The title is telling it all. Nevertheless, on comment: on slow machines, when
user wants to change Tools->Options->OpenOffice.org->Java, the presence of
unsupported JVMs is slowing down the detection process a lot. On a celeron 900
with 1 GB of memory and running GNU/Linux 2.6.12, a milestone before m125 ->
between clicking at the Java menu option and getting actually the list of JREs,
about 8 minutes passed. During this time, all "java" executables and their
symlinks in the directory tree under /usr/lib/jvm that belonged to an
unsupported java were used to execute the JREProperties.class. This actually
slowed down the process. An user that is not knowing how to check what is
happening may take it for OOo not responding ("hanging"). That is the reason why
I tried to make all possible javas supported virtual machines. IBM java in CWS
ibmjdk01 (integrated in m125) and BEA java in CWS morejava.
